Biography

Alan Lin joined the firm in 2018, where he represents and advises employers and individuals on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including all types of employment discrimination and retaliation, employee terminations, wage and hour issues, disability accommodations, and trade secret/non-competition issues. Mr. Lin’s practice includes the representation and counseling of clients in litigation, and he has substantial experience managing all phases of discovery and drafting motions and pleadings for individual and complex litigation matters from the inception of a case to discovery disputes, dispositive motions, expert challenges, and pretrial motions. Mr. Lin also represents employers in administrative matters before government agencies, and routinely assists employers in investigating and responding to Charges of Discrimination.

Aside from litigation and dispute resolution, Mr. Lin also regularly advises and counsels employers and individuals regarding their employment policies and procedures and has considerable experience drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements and employee handbooks.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lin practiced for nearly four years with Bowman and Brooke, LLP, a national product liability defense firm, where he defended pharmaceutical and product manufacturers in individual, mass tort, and multi-district litigation. He began his legal career by completing a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Andrew W. Austin, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Texas, where he handled litigation matters and disputes across a broad spectrum of topics, including multiple employment, discrimination, and commercial litigation cases.

Mr. Lin speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
