Biography

Laura Fauber specializes in representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, and she is licensed and practices in Texas, California, and Washington. Her expertise ranges from strategic advising and counseling on employment and labor law matters to drafting and negotiating agreements, providing training, and litigating in court, arbitration, and before government agencies.

Ms. Fauber has extensive experience advising employers on employment policies; hiring, discipline, performance, and separation; layoffs and WARN (including California WARN) matters; restrictive covenants; discrimination and harassment; leave and disability matters; employee privacy issues; DEIB initiatives; and wage and hour matters.

Ms. Fauber works with employers to proactively manage risk by reviewing and revising employment agreements, employee policies and handbooks, consulting agreements, and sales compensation agreements as well as by providing supervisor and employee training. She also assists employers with responding to and managing audits by the U.S. Department of Labor and state agencies such as the California Employment Development Department and the Texas Workforce Commission.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Fauber practiced at two large international law firms in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Austin as well as served as the Senior Director of Employment, Benefits, and Litigation at a public technology company in Austin.
