Alan Lin, J.D.

Biography

 

 

 

Alan Lin joined the firm in 2018 after practicing for nearly four years with Bowman and Brooke, LLP, a national product liability defense firm.  He began his legal career by completing a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Andrew W. Austin, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Texas.  During his clerkship, Mr. Lin handled litigation across a broad spectrum of topics, including multiple employment, discrimination, and commercial litigation cases.

Mr. Lin has considerable experience drafting and managing motions practice for individual and complex litigation matters, from the inception of a case to dispositive motions, expert challenges, and pretrial motions.  He is regularly called upon to evaluate challenging legal issues and plays a significant role in developing litigation strategy for his clients.  Through his clerkship and legal practice, Mr. Lin also has substantial experience in handling and resolving disputes that may arise during discovery.

A longtime Austin resident, Mr. Lin returned to the city after graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Journal of International Law.

Mr. Lin speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
